I wish it would be So Quiet (PL) |
Last year saw several labels rushing into the music market. Poland was no exception, and one of them, Home.Pop.Rec, ended up delivering us a very interesting record. So Quiet is a one man project. Led by Warsaw-based Tomasz Bien, together with his harmonica, rhodes piano, machinery and other instruments, we see him delivering us 7 beautiful tracks, where delicate and melancholic tunes, ghostly whispers, little cracking noises, fluffy piano notes and minimal electronic beats welcome silence so well.
So Quiet is not an easy an album to listen to. The melancholic tunes going through each track together with the slow pace and the little music box sounds transform these 22 minutes in an experience that requires special care from the listener. You will notice as well, that the more you listen to it, the more difficult it is to let it go.
Released on the Spanish label Error! Lo Fi and on Home.Pop.Rec., this album can be downloaded right here, free of charge.
